I Bet You Rules

I Bet You is a game of wagering challenges designed to help make sure that the guys attending the Forcash Bachelor Party are (a) gambling at every opportunity and (b) maximizing their enjoyment of traveling to Vegas.
The rules of the game are fairly simple:
Jim and Steve (aka. “The Bank”) have come up with 52 different challenges and/or trivia questions. You pull a challenge card, and you have the opportunity to win literally hundreds of dollars if you are successful in completing your challenge.
Details on the Challenges:
- Most importantly, know that there will be no “morally objectionable” challenges. None of the challenges will be anything that you’d hesitate to tell to your wife, girlfriend, etc. That’s not to say that some of them wouldn’t require you to “swallow your pride” a little, but they’ll all be clean. (See examples below)
- It costs $10 for the opportunity to pull a challenge card.
- We’re asking for everyone to pull at least one card, but there is no maximum to the number you can pull. And you can pull them at any time that the deck of challenge cards is present and at least 4 members of our group are present (at least one of Steve/Jim must be present…the bank, remember?.)
- Once you pull a challenge, if you choose not to complete your challenge, you lose your $10.
- Unless otherwise stated, you have 60 seconds to correctly answer any of the “trivia question” cards, and 2 minutes to successfully complete any of the challenges.
- The card you pull will have a pre-assigned value on it. If you are successful, you get the amount specified. If you are not, you lose your $10.
- Some of the cards include a mandatory “dice throw” after you are successful in completing your challenge. The results of your throw determine what you must do with your winnings:
-
- Throw a 1, and you simply keep what you've won. Your challenge is over.
- Throw a 2, and you have to find a roulette table, and place all of your prize money on either 5 or 3, in honor of Steve’s wedding date (5/3).
- Throw a 3, and you have to find a roulette table, and place all of your prize money on either Black or Red. You keep all if you are right.
- Throw a 4, and you have to give your entire prize, except for the original $10, to a dealer or waitress. Aren’t you a nice guy!
- Throw a 5, and you have to either high card, roshambo, or coin flip a stranger. If you win, you double your prize. If you lose, all the prize returns to the pot.
- Throw a 6, and you have Wager Wildcard! You must place all your profit on any single wager in any casino.
A Few Examples
Challenge #1 – You have 2 minutes to convince a stranger to thumb-wrestle with you. If you win, you get $25. If you lose, you get your $10 back. If you fail, you lose your $10.
Challenge #2 – You have 2 minutes to get a stranger to take a picture of you…using their camera. If you win, you get $25. If you fail, you lose your $10.
Trivia Question #1 – Within 3 years in either direction, how long has Wayne Newton been performing in Las Vegas?
Trivia Question #2 – UNLV is located just miles away from the Strip. In what year did UNLV last win the NCAA Basketball crown? $10 bonus if you remember who they beat.
So, prepare to be challenged. Remember, none of the challenges is impossible, but, for some, if not all, creativity will be needed to be successful!
